I realized that other than my first "intro" post, I've been sticking to the challenges over at Fancy Word for Simple for my entries. Since that defeats the purpose of why I started this blog, here's a "real" entry.
I've been 35 for a week now.... Other than being irritated that I'm in a new age bracket when filling out forms (seriously! 25-34 and then 34- whatever big number they choose is just mean!), nothing else has struck me as being that different. I have decided that I'm 35 and by 35 a person should have matching furniture, curtains on windows, towels that coordinate and not feel like they are living in a college/newly married at 21-hand-me-down house. This is the year to get it together when it comes to the house.
Speaking of newly married at 21, yesterday was the 14th anniversary of the hubster and I getting married. And to think, no one gave us more than 6 months to a year! As always, it was a special day filled with work, hockey, WOW, homework, laundry, cleaning and a run to Tar-Jhay Boo-tee-key to get a halloween costume for K-monster. Today I have to run and get pumpkins to carve tonight and candy for tomorrow. How is it that at the begining of October I'm ahead of the game and then end up running out on October 30th for this stuff? GAH! Anyway, I'm already planning a getaway for next year so we can celebrate 15 years of wedded bliss in a proper manner. We never had a honeymoon or have traveled farther than the Twin Cities or the middle of IL together, so I think a trip for the 2 of us is necessary! Any good ideas?
Today is one of those days that I question my sanity and why EVERYTHING seems to get scheduled for 1 day. I have small kids today (started at 6:30 am) until 3 and then starting at 4:
K-Monster has a drs appt for his flu shot and restarting meds for ADD & asthma
The last day of hockey camp from 5:30-6:30
The Teenage Princess has dance from 5:15-7
I have conferences for TTP from 4-8 (walk in form, thank god!)
If I make it though without killing someone it'll be a freakin' miracle! Seriously!
